Take a step back in time at the Shaffner Inn. This extravagant white and green Tudor Revival style residence was built in 1907, as a private residence for Henry Fries Shaffner, co-founder of Wachovia Loan and Trust. It boasts of elegance with its grand staircase, Tiger Oak hand-carved paneling, 9 original fireplaces, a wraparound enclosed porch, and dormer casements that emulate historic English lead-glass windows, all surrounded by handsome antiques. The Shaffner Inn is open to the public, offering 8 overnight guest rooms, meeting and event space, on-site parking and a full-service restaurant.

The Shaffner Inn is located in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem, with easy access off I-40 and 421.  This boutique venue is ideal for intimate
gatherings and getaways, as well as small corporate outings or business meetings. It is the perfect location for walking to cafés, restaurants, museums and shops.
